Everything You Need To Know About Motivation

Motivation is always subsidiary and goal is primary. Goal builds motivation and not otherwise. So, don’t worry about the motivation in beginning. A lot of people try to build motivation even without setting a proper goal. The most important in setting a proper goal is self-awareness. Your self-awareness has the most trusted clues to who you are. First, develop awareness about yourself, then set a proper goal.

A primary task is set a proper goal. A goal which is not so high from your current state of abilities. Slowly slowly expands the aspect of your goal. With the pace of realizations, the motivation and all other positive qualities will develop naturally.

Self-awareness is about understanding your own needs, desires, failings, habits, and everything else that makes you tick. The more you know about yourself, the better you are at adapting life changes that suit your proper goals.

Try to notice what genuinely motivates & interests you. This true excitement would be the first indication. These excitements are very short lived initially even for a few seconds and then disappear. After a while you will find these indications start interesting your attention with certain energy. This is the way you should follow.

There are lots of ways to keep oneself motivated. You don’t forget to breath and when you do, you suffocate. If you want your dream to become reality, you need to follow it as bad as you want to breath.

Remember your proper goals, take a deep breath and try to motivate yourself with these simple yet effective tips:

Get more sleep. Sleep deficiency could be making you less motivated. Take a walk in a park, and let nature reset your mind.

Bring light into your room. Open up your curtains. Let fresh air into your room by opening up windows if it’s not too cold and if it’s not polluted outside.

Make a to-do list. You’ll feel encouraged as you cross off items. Take a small step. You don’t have to immediately immerse yourself in the project and see it until completion right away. Just make baby steps, and take it one day at a time.

If you want to work in a consistent way every day then sometimes you just have to get going anyway. And the funny thing is that after I have worked for a while things feel easier and easier and more fun and the motivation catches up with me.

If a project or task feels too big and daunting don’t let that lead you into postponement. Instead, break it down into very small steps and then take just one of them to start moving forward. Because the most important thing is to just get going and to build momentum forward.

It’s important that you really feel how it makes you feel. When I think about the last part about what makes me happy right now I really feel it. These morning questions are great because the way they are set up makes you recognize things you take for granted and then they really get you to feel those positive feelings.

Tell your friends what you will do on social media, via phone or in real life. Ask one or more of them to regularly check up on you and your progress. By doing this you’ll be a lot less likely to try to weasel out of things or give up at the first obstacle.

Encourage others, and you’ll automatically start seeing encouragement from them in return. It’s a cycle of positivity!

Let go of your fears, and you may feel brave enough to take on challenging tasks.

Eat right. Treating your body well will put you in a better place mentally.

Take a break to get some rest and recharge your mind.

Learning from people who have gone where you want to go and done what you want to do can help you to avoid pitfalls. And to give you a realistic time-table for success. This is important to not get demotivated when things aren’t happening as fast you had wished.

Compare yourself with yourself. Not with others. Comparing what you have and your results to what other people have and have accomplished can really kill your motivation. There are always people ahead of you. Most likely quite a bit of people. And a few of them are miles ahead. So focus on you. On your results. And how you can and have improved them.

Doing too many things at once can overwhelm you, so drop the multitasking and focus on one thing at a time.

Spend less time with negative people who always look at the dark or apathetic side of things. And spend more of the time you have now freed up with enthusiastic or motivated people and let their energy flow over to you.

Just clean your desk. Or pay your bills. Or wash the dishes. You just need to get started. When you have finished that small task you’ll feel more alert and ready to go do the next thing. You just to get started to get motivated. So if you really don’t feel like doing anything, start with something small and work your way out up.

Don’t limit yourself to just the motivation you can get from the people closest you. There is a ton of motivating books, podcasts, blogs and success stories out there that you can tap into to up or renew your motivation.

Act like your heroes. Read about them, watch them, and listen to them. Discover what they did that was special and what made them tick. But remember that they are people just like us. So let them inspire you instead of looking up at them admiringly.

One of the simplest things I do when I feel low in energy or motivation is to play music that is upbeat and/or inspires me in some way. A break with a few songs or working while listening to them for a while usually works well.

Place motivational quotes around your home and workspace. They can come in such forms as a sticky note on your memo board, a note taped to your mirror, or an inspiring quote on a coffee mug.

Get out of your comfort zone. Face your challenges to get a real boost of motivation. If you are holding yourself back have a look at Life-Changing Keys to Overcoming Your Fear. It can help you get started and take that first scary step outside your comfort zone.

Get the hard stuff done first thing in the morning. Once you’re done with the most challenging projects, you’ll be able to tackle the others with ease.

Prepare early so you’re not in a rush. When you’re late all the time or feel rushed, this may stress you out and kill your motivation.

Don’t fear failure. Instead redefine it as feedback and as a natural part of a successful life.

Reviewing your results is important so you see where you have gone wrong in the past to avoid similar missteps further on. But it’s also important because it’s a great motivator to see how much you have improved and how far you have come. Often you can be pleasantly surprised when you do such a review.

Drop the projects that you might not be totally committed to and focus on the ones you’re really passionate about.

Tell yourself that nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Know that only you have the power to create your dreams and generate motivation.Write down where you see yourself in five years, and stick that note in a visible place.

Turn it into a challenge with a time limit. You can create your own or join an existing one. There are plenty of challenges that already exist out there,

Write down a few things you’re grateful for. If you have a more positive mind-set, you’ll find yourself more motivated and looking forward to what’s in store for you.

Reflect on the times when you worked hard and succeeded at your task. Remind yourself that it’s better to try and fail or succeed than living with regrets. Give yourself a pep talk, and tell yourself that you are awesome.

Find something you truly enjoy, and do it. Pick up a hobby or start a collection, and it’ll make you excited about life.

Working out doesn’t just affect your body. I find that just 20-30 minutes of lifting free weights releases inner tensions and stress and makes me feel more focused and motivated once again.

Close your eyes and let the memories of your biggest successes – no matter in what part of your life – wash over you. Let those most positive memories boost your motivation

When my mind is a bit tired or perhaps even overloaded my energy and motivation goes down. So in the afternoons – or when needed – I tend to sit down with closed eyes and just focus on my breathing for 2 minutes. This clears my mind and releases inner tensions.

Few things give me as much new energy and motivation to take on life as this does. So I often go out for a walk in the woods or by the sea and I’m just there in the moment with the nature, the fresh air and I don’t think about anything special.
